Overview

Visorium is a personal media server and NAS video player. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how Visorium handles your data.

Data Collection

Visorium operates no server that collects, stores, or receives your personal data. We have no backend and cannot access your data. To provide convenience features across your devices, Visorium uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) and iCloud Keychain on your behalf — all such data is stored only within your own private iCloud account, which Visorium's developers cannot access. See iCloud Sync below.

Local Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Server credentials (usernames, passwords, tokens) are stored in the device's secure Keychain. On iOS, if you are signed into iCloud, these credentials may be synchronized across your own Apple devices via iCloud Keychain (Apple's end-to-end encrypted service). They are never sent to Visorium or to any third party.
• App preferences (video quality, display settings) are stored in local UserDefaults.
• Playback history is stored locally and never shared.

iCloud Sync

On iOS, Visorium uses Apple iCloud to synchronize your settings and saved server configurations (such as protocol type, display name, and server address) across your own devices:

• Server configurations are stored in your private CloudKit database within your personal iCloud account.
• Sensitive credentials are synchronized through iCloud Keychain, which is end-to-end encrypted by Apple.

All such data resides solely within your own iCloud account. Visorium has no server and its developers have no ability to access, read, or collect this data. iCloud handling is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. On tvOS, no iCloud sync is performed.

Your Media Servers

Visorium connects to your own media servers and devices (WebDAV, SMB, FTP/SFTP, NFS, DLNA, and Plex/Emby/Jellyfin) using credentials you provide. These connections are made directly between your device and your servers. Visorium does not act as an intermediary and does not have access to your server passwords.

Network Access

Visorium accesses the internet and your local network solely to:

• Authenticate with your media servers
• Browse and stream video files from your servers

No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included in the app.

Children's Privacy

Visorium is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
