Overview

Visorium is a personal media server and NAS video player. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how Visorium handles your data.

Who Receives Your Data

Visorium does not operate an account, analytics, advertising, or media-proxy server, and the developer does not receive your media, server credentials, library, or playback history. The app connects directly to services you choose, including your own media servers, Apple services, and optional metadata, subtitle, or playback-sync providers described below.

Local Storage

The following data is stored on your device:

• Server and service credentials (such as usernames, passwords, and access tokens) are stored in Apple's Keychain. They are sent only to the server or service you configure when needed to perform your request. If iCloud Keychain is enabled, Apple may synchronize Keychain items across your devices.
• App preferences and library information (such as display settings, saved sources, metadata, and watch state) are stored locally.
• Downloaded subtitles and cached artwork may be stored locally so they remain available during playback.

iCloud Sync

On supported Apple platforms, Visorium uses your private iCloud account to synchronize selected app data across your own devices:

• Saved server configurations, settings, and playback-resume history may be stored in your private CloudKit database.
• Credentials may be synchronized through iCloud Keychain when you enable that Apple feature.

This data remains within your Apple account and is not available to Visorium's developer. Apple processes it under Apple's Privacy Policy. Availability varies by platform and your iCloud settings.

Your Media Servers

Visorium connects to your own media servers and devices (WebDAV, SMB, FTP/SFTP, NFS, DLNA, and Plex/Emby/Jellyfin) using credentials you provide. These connections are made directly between your device and your servers. Visorium does not act as an intermediary and does not have access to your server passwords.

Third-Party Services

Visorium may use the following services to provide features you use:

• TMDB: when you browse media that has no usable local metadata or artwork, Visorium may automatically send parsed media titles and years to The Movie Database to retrieve matching metadata and artwork. Search terms you enter for manual matching are also sent to TMDB. See TMDB's Privacy Policy.
• OpenSubtitles: subtitle searches may send media names, file hashes, file sizes, language choices, and optional OpenSubtitles account credentials to OpenSubtitles. See OpenSubtitles' Privacy Policy.
• Trakt: if you connect and enable Trakt, media identifiers, watchlist or collection changes, playback progress, and watched history may be synchronized with your Trakt account. See Trakt's Privacy Policy.
• Apple: Apple processes purchases through StoreKit, private sync through iCloud, and playback of the Apple-hosted sample stream in Review Demo. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

Network Access

Visorium accesses the internet and your local network solely to:

• Authenticate with, browse, and stream from media servers you configure
• Retrieve optional metadata, artwork, and subtitles
• Synchronize playback activity when you enable iCloud or Trakt features
• Validate and restore App Store purchases

No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included in the app.

Your Choices and Data Retention

You can remove saved media sources and disconnect optional services in Visorium. Deleting the app removes its app container, including local preferences, library data, subtitles, and caches, but Keychain items may remain until you remove the related source or service in the app, clear them through Apple platform settings where available, or reinstall Visorium and remove them there. Manage private iCloud and third-party account data through the corresponding Apple or third-party service. Those services retain information under their own policies, and Visorium's developer cannot retrieve or delete data held only in your private iCloud account, Keychain, or third-party accounts.

Children's Privacy

Visorium is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
